1. Overview
Taptacle ("we," "us," or "our") is an AI image generation app developed by Mad Love Concepts LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how it is shared, and what choices you have when you use the Taptacle iOS app and related services at taptacle.app.
By using Taptacle, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
- Email address when provided by Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google
- Display name when provided by Apple or Google
- A unique provider ID when you use Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google
Content You Create and Store
- Text prompts you enter for image generation
- Reference images you choose to attach to an AI generation request
- Generated images and generation history stored locally on your device when you choose in-app storage
- Generated images saved to your Apple Photos library if you choose the Photos storage option
- Support or issue-report details you submit to us, including an optional screenshot attachment
Usage Data
- Basic service activity needed to operate the app, such as generation counts, credit balances, purchase sync events, and quota usage
- Operational review data used to protect the service from abuse, including alerts when image generation volume exceeds internal review thresholds
- We do not use third-party analytics SDKs or advertising trackers
3. AI Generation Data and Sharing
When you use the AI generation feature, the text prompts you enter, any reference image you choose to attach, and your selected style or aspect-ratio options are transmitted to the third-party AI providers you have enabled for that request:
- OpenAI (ChatGPT) — governed by OpenAI's Privacy Policy
- xAI (Grok) — governed by xAI's Privacy Policy
- Google (Gemini) — governed by Google's Privacy Policy
We ask for your permission in-app before sending that generation data to those providers. Your consent response is recorded both on your device and on your Taptacle account so the app can remember whether you have approved AI data sharing. We do not send your Taptacle account email, sign-in credentials, or payment information to the AI providers for image generation. We do not store your prompts or generated images on our servers as part of normal image generation. If you choose in-app storage, prompts and generated results may be stored locally on your device so they appear in your history.
4. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate you and maintain your account
- To verify whether your account is an authorized administrator account
- To process and return AI-generated image results
- To store and display your generation history and saved images on your device when you choose in-app storage
- To process credit purchases, synchronize App Store transactions, and maintain your credit balance
- To monitor aggregate usage, investigate potential abuse, and temporarily restrict image generation when necessary to protect the service
- To respond to support requests and issue reports you submit
- To communicate important service updates (we do not send marketing emails)
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.
5. Data Storage & Security
Server-side account data, credit records, purchase records, and operational service data are stored on Cloudflare infrastructure. Authentication tokens on your device are stored in the iOS Keychain, which is hardware-protected and generally inaccessible to other apps under normal iOS security controls.
If you choose in-app storage, generated images and generation history are stored locally on your device. If you choose the Photos option, generated images are written to your Apple Photos library and are then governed in part by your device and iCloud photo settings.
6. Sign in with Apple
When you use Sign in with Apple, Apple may provide us with a unique identifier and optionally an email address (which may be a private relay address). We only store what Apple provides and use it solely to identify your account. We never receive your Apple ID password.
7. Sign in with Google
When you use Sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and a unique Google account identifier via OAuth 2.0. We use this information only to create and identify your Taptacle account. We do not access your Google Drive, Gmail, or any other Google services.
8. Data Retention & Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen within the app. Upon account deletion, we remove from our active systems:
- Your user record and server-side authentication state
- Server-side credit balances, purchase records, admin alerts, and account control records associated with your account
- Support and issue-report records associated with your account, subject to any legal retention requirements
Deleting your account does not remove images saved to your personal Photos library or other data stored locally on your device outside our servers. You can manage those copies directly on your device.
9. Service Protection & Admin Review
To keep Taptacle reliable and prevent abuse, we maintain limited internal operational controls. For example, if an account exceeds certain image-generation thresholds, an internal alert may be created for review by an authorized administrator.
Authorized administrators may review operational account metadata such as account email, generation counts, alert history, and lock status. If necessary, image generation can be temporarily restricted and a short explanation can be attached to the account so the user sees why access was paused.
10. Children's Privacy
Taptacle is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Taptacle after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
